ReasonNodal Operating Guide Section 5.2, Resource Capability, which was deleted by Nodal Operating Guide Revision Request (NOGRR) 058, Deletion of Section 5, Planning, contained a requirement for ERCOT to periodically determine the minimum ERCOT Planning Reserve Margin (PRM) required to ensure the adequacy of installed generation and other Resource capability in ERCOT. This PGRR adds that review requirement to the Planning Guide.

Summary

This Planning Guide Revision Request (PGRR) adds language inadvertently omitted when planning requirements were moved from the Operating Guides (Section 5) to the Planning Guide. Specifically, this PGRR adds the requirement for ERCOT to periodically review and recommend to the ERCOT Board any change in the minimum ERCOT Planning Criterion necessary to maintain adequate ERCOT System reliability.
