ReasonTo align the Nodal Protocols with the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Reliability Standards, specifically EOP-002-2.1, Capacity and Energy Emergencies, which provides in pertinent part: R6. If the Balancing Authority cannot comply with the Control Performance and Disturbance Control Standards, then it shall immediately implement remedies to do so.
