NPRR1019  Pricing and Settlement Changes for Switchable Generation Resources (SWGRs) Instructed to Switch to ERCOT

This NPRR addresses the switching of Switchable Generation Resources (SWGRs) from a non-ERCOT Control Area to the ERCOT the Control Area. Specifically, this NPRR makes the following changes: • Proposes that ERCOT systems automatically create a proxy Energy Offer Curve with a price floor of $4,500/MWh for each Reliability Unit Commitment (RUC)-committed SWGR as opposed to requiring Qualified Scheduling Entities (QSEs) to submit Energy Offer Curves reflecting the $4,500/MWh floor. • Includes a lost revenue cost component to the Switchable Generation Cost Guarantee (SWCG) to ensure that Combined-Cycle Generation Resource SWGRs are made whole to their costs when switching from a non-ERCOT Control Area to the ERCOT Control Area.
